MERIPLEX PARTNERS WITH CISCO TO GIVE BACK TO HOUSTON COMMUNITY

On April 6-7, 2017, Meriplex partnered with Cisco to work two four-hour shifts at the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) Peanut Butter Cannery in North Houston.

The Houston Food Bank receives more than 400,000 jars of fresh peanut butter each year from the LDS Peanut Butter Cannery.  Due to its popularity, long shelf life and high protein amount, peanut butter is one of the most needed items for all food banks.  As one of the most kid-friendly foods, it is in high demand for the Houston Food Bank Backpack Buddy program.

Meriplex and Cisco volunteers prepared a total of 19,440 jars, with one shift breaking the record for the most peanut butter canned in a four-hour shift! Pallets containing peanut butter were shipped with the sign, “Peanut Butter packaged by Volunteers from Meriplex and Cisco.” Way to go, Rachel, Anu, Sarah, Michael, Donece, and Scott, along with our Cisco partners! Just goes to show you, Meriplex is Cisco-Powered in more ways than one!

Meriplex is proudly headquartered in Houston with several locations across the United States.
