As Chief Executive Officer, David leads the executive leadership team providing direction and oversight for all facets of Meriplex. David has a recognized executive management track record and over 19 years of experience driving company-wide growth in the technology industry.
David Henley worked for a major telecom company briefly before deciding go into business for himself and co-founding Meriplex Communications in 2001 as a voice and ISP provider. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Dusty leads Meriplex’s Core Technology group that includes ongoing strategic initiatives for emerging technologies, assess their potential to enhance the company’s portfolio, and recommend new partnerships for technology development.
Prior to joining Meriplex in 2005, Dusty worked as a Finance Manager for Garlyn Shelton Imports where he oversaw banking relations and custom product development to meet the needs of their customers. Dusty holds a Master of Science in Quantitative Economics from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Art in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Gregory directs all aspects of Meriplex’s finances, accounting, taxes, and compliance. With over twenty years experience in finance, Gregory is responsible for providing the financial foundation to allow Meriplex to reach its strategic objectives and targets.
Prior to joining Meriplex, Gregory has worked as CFO and VP Finance for several, fast growing venture backed firms, including CS Disco, Morae, Geotrace, and G2 Integrated Partners.His experience spans multiple industries, at both technology and technology enabled service providers. Greg holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Missouri in Accounting. Greg also earned an MBA from Rice University and is both a CPA and CFA designee.
Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, John leads the operations teams at Meriplex for success on customer deliverables. With executive leadership over Managed Services, Customer Experience and Professional Services, John manages the operational aspect for all customers.
John brings 23 years’ experience of managed services, advanced systems design, and security to Meriplex. Prior to I.T. Works and Meriplex, John worked for Lockeed Martin as a design engineer, Rice University as a plant engineer and a defense contractor for the Department of Defense. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
As General Counsel, Jason is responsible for overseeing all M&A activity and managing corporate governance, as well as providing strategic counsel for internal functions including, but not limited, to Operations, Human Resources, and Sales.
Jason has 20 years’ experience in executive level advising for corporations and brings a wealth of legal knowledge and expertise to influence business-driven decisions. As former General Counsel for the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas, Jason worked with the Tribal Council, the Tribal Administrator, and CFO, and the Tribe's economic enterprises in the United States and the Republic of Mexico. His practice included all areas of federal, state, tribal, and international law, including economic and policy development, commercial contracts, lending, joint ventures, and more. Prior to that, Jason was in private practice with law firms including Barry Conge Bond, Burleson, and Hogan Lovells, where he represented public and private clients in a panoply of complex transactional areas, including securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, capital markets, commercial contracts, and debt finance. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jason worked in finance with prominent firms such as Wachovia Securities, Enron Energy Services, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Jason graduated with a JD, cum laude, from University of Michigan Law School, MA in Organizational Behavior and MA in Sociology from Stanford University, MBA from Tulane University, and a BS in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
As Senior Vice President of Sales at Meriplex, Sam is responsible for all revenue generating activities including business development, pipeline development for new and existing accounts, marketing, branding and sales operations.
With over 25 years’ experience in global sales and business development executive roles in the technology industry, Sam brings a wealth of experience and success in developing and sustaining high-performing sales teams and revenue growth. Prior to Meriplex, Sam served as the Head of Business Development and Customer Engagement at Ericsson North America for 10 years leading cross-functional global teams across sales, business development and engineering departments and was responsible for the innovation and development of 5G / IoT portfolio.
SVP, Information Technology
As Senior Vice President of Information Technology, Jim is responsible for overseeing Meriplex’s Corporate IT, DevOps, PMO, and M&A activities. Jim brings 20 years of management experience within MSP, Healthcare and Petrochemical verticals.
Prior to Meriplex, Jim served as the Information Services Director at St. Joseph Medical Center (Houston) where he led Information Services efforts during a critical time of service improvement, core application transition and eventually, M&A activities. Preceding that, Jim led the Regional Network Management team for a global petrochemical company where he managed an international technical support operations team supporting 100+ sites throughout North and South America. His strengths include process improvement, cross-functional team leadership, and program management with a customer service focus. Jim is proud to have honorably served in the US Army (10 years) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He has also earned multiple technical certifications along with his Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate.
As Vice President of Sales, Luis is accountable for new top line revenue growth at Meriplex. Luis is responsible for overseeing the success, company profitability, and strategic direction of net new business in the sales organization.
With 19 years of experience in building and developing sales organizations, Luis works hand in hand with sales operations, marketing, network architecture, project management, and network operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience that drives revenue growth. He also fosters a team culture of transparency, empowerment, and accountability that creates an environment where individuals want to achieve. Prior to Meriplex, Luis served as market manager for Crown Castle Fiber Solutions (Houston) responsible for building the South Texas market sales and sales engineering organization. Preceding that, Luis was a Sales Director at Level 3 Communications for nine years.
VP, Corporate Development
As Vice President of Corporate Development, Nicholette is responsible for managing and forging strategic partnerships and establishing business development plans to reach long-term company goals.
Nicholette brings over 18 years of experience in corporate development and sales strategy roles with a focus in the technology industry for the last 13 years. Prior to Meriplex, Nicholette worked as a Territory Sales Manager for VMware where she was an expert in networking and security solutions for mid-enterprise organizations. She also spent 7 years at Rackspace in a variety of sales and corporate development roles, namely as the Chief Sales Strategist for North America, spearheading the go-to-market entrance for the private equity vertical focusing on enterprise businesses. Nicholette works with executive teams to drive strategic goals and business outcomes, managing existing channel relationships and entering into new alliance partnerships, which in turn drives business and revenue growth. She also oversees the marketing initiatives to scale and promote the Meriplex brand while ensuring the corporate marketing strategy aligns to the business.
VP, Managed Services
As Vice President of Managed Services, Rob is responsible for leading, managing and supporting the networking and IT professionals responsible for the day to day functions of the Network Operations Center to deliver high quality support and services to Meriplex customers.
Prior to Meriplex, Rob served as Vice President of Service Delivery for Logix Fiber Networks, formerly Alpheus Communications, responsible for developing and managing the overall service delivery experience. Rob led the Service Delivery team since 2003 with the team providing all service delivery functions in support of data services operations. Rob brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Rob earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University and Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis on Telecommunications Management from The University of Dallas.
VP, Procurement and Logistics
As Vice President of Procurement & Logistics, Ron manages the strategic direction of supporting customer fulfillment from signed agreement to equipment attainment and deployment. Ron brings over 20 years of developing organizations across the private and public sector.
Prior to Ron’s full-time arrival to Meriplex in November of 2018, Ron successfully ran his own consulting business, Motivational Transitions, where he delivered management and leadership training, business coaching, and staff training and development programs for small to medium sized businesses. Ron also hosted his own radio show, The Unleashed Radio Hour, on KTEK Business 1110am in Houston, Texas. Ron’s entire professional career has been in customer centric service and leadership roles to help individuals and organizations to thrive. Ron earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Bowling Green State University and Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.

As Vice President of Human Resources at Meriplex, Amanda leads all aspects of human resources including employee relations, organizational development, payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, recruitment, and staffing.
Amanda brings over a decade of HR leadership including managing Human resource departments ranging from small to midsized companies in the financial services, consulting, legal, and medical devices. Amanda has extensive experience with instituting new employee initiatives for emerging companies which include a focus on encompassing total life cycle of the employment experience. With her experience, Amanda will build on the existing Meriplex HR platform by adding best-in-class practices and elevating our Human Resource program. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Loyola University Chicago. She also earned her duel Bachelor degrees from Drexel University in Business Administration and Art History. She is an active mentor in the Houston HR community as well as participant in the Society for Human Resource Management.

Mitch Green serves on the Board of Directors at Meriplex where he helps in providing the vision, mission and goals of Meriplex. Since Mitch joined Clairvest in 2002, his responsibilities have focused on domain research and investment origination, structuring and execution.Mitch had worked previously in leveraged finance for BNP Capital Markets and in corporate finance for Bank of America after beginning his career in operations management at Bloomingdale’s flagship store. Mitch earned his M.B.A with Distinction from the University of Michigan Business School and a B.S. with Honors from Cornell University.

Mohit Kansal serves on the Board of Directors at Meriplex where he helps in providing the vision, mission and goals of Meriplex. Mohit joined Clairvest in 2016 and participates in all areas of the investment process. Before Clairvest, Mohit worked as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and prior to that was an investment professional with GRI Capital (a leading Canadian family office). Mohit has earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto.

Paul Hobby serves on the Board of Directors at Meriplex where he helps in providing the vision, mission and goals of Meriplex. Paul is a founding partner of Genesis Park and also serves as Chairman of Texas Monthly and is also the former CEO of Alpheus Communications. Paul has sourced and structured and led a number of successful investments, significant among them are ColumbineJDS, where he carved out a division of Jefferson Pilot and created the largest back office media software firm in the world while serving as Executive Chairman, and Alpheus Communications, where he carved out a telecommunications subsidiary of El Paso Corporation, rebranded and refocused the enterprise to create the largest alternative fiber optic network in Texas, then took the company into data centers and through a successful exit. Paul has served as the Chairman of the Texas Ethics Commission, the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Texas General Services Commission and the Texas Business Hall of Fame. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Texas Law School.

Richard Jalkut serves on the Board of Directors at Meriplex where he helps in providing the vision, mission and goals of Meriplex. Richard Jalkut, former CEO of TPx Communications, has more than 35 years' experience in the telecommunications industry, including extensive senior executive and start-up experience. Prior to joining TPx, he was president and CEO of Pathnet Telecom. Before that, he served as president, CEO and chairman of NYNEX Telephone Companies, the regulated arm of NYNEX. During his 32-year tenure with NYNEX and its predecessor companies, Jalkut oversaw the voice, data, internet and usage services of NYNEX’s seven-state operation. He presided over an organization with more than 80,000 employees and 16 million customers, producing more than $15 billion of annual revenue.
