Cisco Voice Engineer (UCCX)

Meriplex is looking for a strong experienced Cisco UCCX voice engineer who is inspired by a challenge and appreciates developing strong customer relationships.

Meriplex Communications is a Cisco Gold and Master Collaboration partner located in Houston, TX focused on providing SD-WAN / MPLS with VoIP / SIP, Cloud and SaaS solutions, and IT and Network Managed Services to a mid-market customer base.

Position Summary

This position involves post-sales planning, implementation and support of Cisco Unified Communications solutions and related technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist and lead the design and implementation of Cisco Unified Communications products such as Call Manager, Call Manager Express, with emphasis on UCCX, Contact Center & Unity.

Perform software upgrades on existing Cisco voice deployments

Provide administrative and end user training for Cisco voice deployments when needed Provide pre-sales support to account managers when needed

Provides guidance & leadership to less experienced Network Analysts & Network Professionals

Prepare client documentation including Network designs, Network Assessments, IPT Questionnaires, Implementation Plans and post implementation documentation

Assist with Managed Services Operations Center requests and trouble tickets on an as needed basis or on a scheduled rotation basis

Required Qualifications:

Hands on experience installing, upgrading and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications products, particularly UCCX / Contact Center.

Hands on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches

Experience with installing and upgrading Cisco voice gateways

Ability to deliver on multiple complex high priority projects and initiatives within scope, budget and timeline

Able to work within a customer oriented, positive team environment

Strong interpersonal, oral, visual, and written communication skills for communications to technical and non-technical staff

Thorough understanding of telecommunications theory and voice communications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience preferred. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, 5+ years of experience with Cisco infrastructure, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a mid to large sized environment, required.

Certification:

CCNP-Voice or CCIE preferred

Work Schedule/Travel:

Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ability to have a flexible schedule due to work volume and proposal deadlines are a must. Ability to travel up to 20% may be required based on project requirements; mostly within the Houston metro area as well as nationally.

Starting salary range $90,000+ commensurate with experience




Account Manager

We're looking for an Account Manager ( Sales ) with Telecom experience looking to expand into the Managed Services IT / Infrastructure field. You should apply if you are a high energy hunter who won't take no for an answer and is able to build strong personal relationships to solve customer's business problems.

Job Responsibilities:

This position will work with management and network architects to develop account strategy, design solutions to meet customer needs, close contracts, manage the customer account, and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Familiar with executive sales strategy, voice & telecom sales, managed services and Cisco Systems product lines;

Meet sales goals primarily through identifying and selling to new customers as well as developing additional opportunities within the existing customer base;

Discover customer business needs, qualify opportunities, and propose appropriate products or services;

Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about products and services;

Provide excellent service to ensure assigned accounts meet or exceed client satisfaction leading to long-term loyal customer base;

Properly forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers;

Work with key partners to drive associated product revenue;

Successfully negotiate contracts;

Provide feedback from field experience to sales management with regards to product, selling, and competitive fields;

Cultivate and maintain trusting relationships with associates and customer to become a Trusted Advisor to the client;

Demonstrate a competitive self-motivated, persistent, and dedicated personality to overcome setbacks and ensure ultimate success.

Required Qualifications:

Highly motivated and able to work independently

Excellent written and verbal communication and telephone skills with an emphasis on persuasion and presentation abilities

Familiarity with sales tools to enhance productivity and increase contact base

Proactive nature to develop business opportunities independently

Team oriented focus and adaptability to work with others in a sales team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Work Schedule/Travel

Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ability to have a flexible schedule due to work volume and proposal deadlines are a must. Travel across the Houston metro area will be required, with possible foreign and domestic travel based on acquired customers.
